Building on the success of the Summer of ’62, Fire on the Mountain in 2000 and To the Gates of Washington, this event is open to both Garrison and Campaign Impressions, with all safety and authenticity regulations enforced.  CS participants and all Artillery and Mounted forces by invitation only in order to maintain correct force ratios. The event is restricted to 2000 participants. September Storm is honored to have the support of the South Mountain State Battlefield and Washington County, who have designated the event the Official 145th Anniversary Reenactment of the Maryland Campaign. The Federal Forces will again be commanded by Kevin Air, with S. Chris Anders as commander of the States Rights Forces and reenactor coordinator. Several immersive marches, including The 145th Anniversary South Mountain Battlefield Preservation March and the A.P. Hill Anniversary March are planned to lead up to the event. Come out and join us in commemorating the Battles of South Mountain and Antietam/Sharpsburg and help us preserve and educate this important moment in our history! And please see these testimonials about former events put on by WMHF.
