2008 Bedford Officer’s School HOUSING
In-Processing and Billeting Information
In Processing- 1pm till 8:30pm. Upon arrival all officers and men are to report to the Adjutant’s Office, in House 1 to register. At such a time their housing will be confirmed as well as general orders will be distributed.
Officers will then be able to transport their belongings to their housing, and then return their vehicles to the Parking Lot across from the Visitors Center.
Each House is encouraged to have a member on site by 3 pm , to insure the house is warm by night fall.
Belongings- Everyone is encouraged to bring such sleeping material to keep warm. After 8:30pm, all participants must be in period attire till the end of the School. Bring plenty of Candles and lanterns, as well as eating utensils and writing paper and pen. Dress Gloves and sashes are encouraged at the Friday Night reception, which will start at 8:45 Pm in the Tavern. Officers are permitted to bring small flasks with your beverage of choice, but it is expected that all will conduct themselves with proper decorum.
Restrooms and facilities- The restrooms in the Visitors Center are the ONLY ones to be used, the water is turned off in the other sinks, and it would be impolite to use them.
All Classes will be held in the upstairs room of the Tavern, and all meals served in the Tavern.
Enlisted Men- Report to the Adjutants Office upon arrival for housing and duty assignments.
