As one of two original companies that formed the Chesapeake Volunteer Guards, Company B and its members are proud to be a part of this growing Battalion. The foundation of Company B comes from the depth of experience from members of various units such as the Princes Anne Grays, Fisher Rifle Guards, IVR, and Liberty Rifles, to name a few. Individual members joined with the CVG to build a quality Battalion where history and authenticity counts! Our members hail from all corners of the east coast, from Connecticut to North Carolina, with the company headquarters based in Virginia Beach, VA., and Commanded by Captain David Jones. He and his staff are blessed with a dedicated membership, from the NCOs to privates, with many years of experience and a devotion to this hobby.

We strive to excel on and off the field, and to honor the men that fought in this bloody conflict that is our Civil War. From uniform presentation to drill, we aspire to accurately portray and honor the men who fought this conflict. The company takes pride sponsoring the Camp Of Instruction for the Confederate Sharpshooter impression, the shock troops of the Confederacy, and the forerunner of the modern Light Infantry Battalions. While we endeavor to be authentic as possible, we will not loose sight that this is a hobby, and as such, a very important part of the comradeship we share together as a company.
