Andrew Dangel, Adjutant

Starting reenacting when he was twelve, Andrew Dangel now has more than fourteen years of reenacting experience under his belt. Moving through different units, and with different responsibilities in each organization, his focus has been on the methods and lifestyles each task requires.

For the past three years his focus has been on the job of the staff officer, specifically the Adjutant General department. This has given him the reputation of a paperwork guru, although his real focus has been on command-control, staff estimates, and the coordination of the various duties necessary to run a military organization.

He has a history degree from Gettysburg College and a Masters in Teaching from Goucher College and views most events from a historical learning perspective (not as much what others can learn from him but more what he can learn by doing). He has attended and completed most of the intermediate work from the Living History Institutes Command and Staff College and has taught lessons on army paperwork, field engineering, and Customs of Service for officers and non-commissioned officers. He is overjoyed to have the opportunity to work as the Adjutant for the CVG and looks forward to sharing good times with old friends and having the opportunity to make new ones.
